Welcome to The Outhouse !
Dear Berryessa Campers,
Good afternoon and happy Friday !
We’d like to present our conceptual plans for ‘The Outhouse’ and we’d love to hear your thoughts!
The Outhouse is the concept for the showers, toilets, wash hand basins, dishwashing stations and laundry units for each Berryesssa Shores campers. These centralized structures would be located at each campground, with a possibility of smaller, one off toilet pods placed strategically throughout the campground.
We are still in the conceptual design phase and are working with BOR to get these up and running and are very excited. The next step will be for our engineers to take them to detailed plans and address all the knitty gritty details.
We’d like is to hear your views on the concept as these are for all you beautiful campers! Ask us questions and voice any concerns on our facebook page.
Before commenting please read the narrative! It has important details and rationale to help you understand the designs!
You may also find some answers to your initial questions in the construction details located at the end of the document.

Have a lovely weekend!

Lake Berryessa update regarding the slip construction timeline
Dear Berryessa Shores Slip holders,
Below is an update regarding the slip construction timeline.
Construction materials are scheduled for delivery on May 9th. The construction crew arrives onsite tomorrow, Thursday 3rd May to prepare the construction site for an immediate start when the materials arrive.
We submitted our final applications to the Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation for the installation permits 30 days ago. We have been in constant contact with the Corps and have been doing all we can to push through the approval and anticipate an approval within 30 days.
At this point the only reason we would not be able to deliver slips within 4-5 weeks is if we do not receive approvals from the Corps and Reclamation.
Our number one priority at this point is to get slips in the water for those of you who have submitted contracts and paid deposits. Pensus Group is eager to show everyone who has been waiting so patiently that we are a company who sticks to its word and does what it says it is going to do. Unfortunately we need the appropriate approvals from the government for this to happen. We remain optimistic and continue to persist.
In the meantime, we will continue to post updates for you all on our news page and Facebook.
We are looking forward to seeing you all out on the water.
Sincerely,
David Maule-ffinch
Director and owner, Pensus Group
Pensus is Committed to a Smooth Transition for Current Markley Cove Occupants
Pensus intends to accommodate all boat and houseboat owners currently at Markley Cove. We have received emails from many of you already and have added your information to our list of boat owners who wish to remain in a slip when we transition to the new Mahogany Bay in 2013. If you have not already done so please email storemyboat@lakeberryessashores.com at your leisure with the lengths and widths of your boat(s) and whether you would like a covered or uncovered slip(s). We will contact everyone in early 2013 to discuss contracts and payments to provide a smooth transition into your new slip in late April. Our intention is to begin building slips offsite in advance so that when the April transition date arrives we will have slips already built and ready to be towed into place. If need be we may need to accommodate some of you at Lupine Shores for a short time to facilitate the transition. In any case, everyone who wishes to have a slip will be accommodated. Thank you and Happy Boating!
Progress update: We’ll be building slips in 30 days!
Progress update:
Pensus is pleased to announce that we have received rate approvals from the Bureau of Reclamation for uncovered wet slips and we expect to receive verification within 45 days from the US Corps of Engineers that Pensus’ plans for installation of marinas are authorized.
Based on these approvals and verifications, we intend to start construction of wet slips by mid April 2012 with slips available
for occupancy within four weeks.
The construction schedule provides for installation
of 40 slips per month.
Signing-up
To assure your place for a slip in 2012 and 2013 please sign up as soon as possible either via our online occupancy contract here,
by calling ( 707-966-9088 ), or by emailing us at storemyboat@lakeberryessashores.com.
The waiting list
If you are already on our waiting list you will have priority in accordance with your position on the list. All you need to do is submit your contract via our online form here and make a deposit payment to ensure your place.
Markley Cove
If you are presently an occupant at Markley Cove (scheduled to become Mahogany Bay in 2013) and if you wish to use new
facilities at Mahogany Bay in the future it is important that you let us know immediately.
Based on Reclamation’s Interim Agreement now in effect, all of the installations at Markley Cove should be removed before we take possession of the area in May 2013. If that occurs on time, we will be prepared to construct slips for everyone who wishes to remain at the location and have them ready for immediate installation. However, it may be necessary for us to accommodate your boat at Lupine Shores temporarily, for up to a maximum of 30 days, to allow for verification of the plans for and the installation of the new marina slips at Mahogany Bay as soon as possible after
taking possession in May 2013.
Thank you for your interest.
We hope to see you very soon at Berryessa Shores!
Pensus is here to stay
Despite some ill sourced reports Pensus is here to stay as the Lake Berryessa Shores Concession’s Operator.
Please watch this site for an upcoming announcement regarding the status of the development.
